Boat...
.....TROUP 1 is a 7.3 metre Northcraft Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB)
designed to be used in all weather conditions. The boat is fully
equipped and licensed for 12 people and meets the high standards
of the Marine and Coastguard Agency(MCA).

.....Lifejackets,
waterproofs, hats and gloves are provided, but we advise you
to bring warm clothing with you. You will see the seating is
jockey style, which is very supportive to the back and also
you can tuck your kids in tight between you!

Skipper...
.....Skipper
is Alan Towns. He is a local man who is MCA/RYA qualified and
has sailed and dived this stretch of open and rugged coastline
for 20 years.
.....The
Location...
.....The
boat leaves from Whitehills Marina
twice daily, weather permitting (head
from Banff toward Elgin for 2 miles and turn right for Whitehills).
The times of the trips will be detailed on a board at the
Marina.
.....Evening trips are available by appointment if you want to see the sun
setting over the spectacular coastline.

.....Marine
wildlife includes Bottlenose Dolphins, Porpoise, Minkie Whale
and even
Basking Shark have been spotted in the summer. The waters
are also home to playful Grey and Common
Seals.
.....The Moray Firth is full of marine life with frequent sightings
from May to September.

coastline has an amazing array of birdlife species and
the most popular and famous has to be the Gannets at Troup
Head.
.....This
is the only mainland colony in Scotland and is a RSPB wildlife
reserve. To see the stunning cliffs and nesting birds
from the water is truly an experience.
.....The
cliffs at Troup Head offer the chance to see Gannets, Puffins,
Razorbills, Guillimot, Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Cormorants, Shags
and Herring Gulls - right above your head!
.....We
are very careful when watching wildlife and adhere to the rules
on how to watch marine mammals and birds. Remember, sometimes you
won’t get as far on your trip because we are lucky enough
to sight Dolphins.
